REGION: Farigliano, Piemonte, Italy

When Nicolao Manfredi ‘founded’ the house in 1863, it was just to make his first wine, Dolcetto from the vineyards at Farigliano (just south of Barolo) beside the Tanaro river. He probably didn’t envisage his family business growing into perhaps the best volume producer of Piedmont wines across almost all the zones.

Manfredi, under their Manfredi and Patrizi labels, source and make wines from most of the famous zones of the Langhe – from Moscato, through the dry whites Arneis and Gavi to the reds of Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo (including Barolo and Barbaresco).
