From two sites in McLaren Vale: one is higher up and fresher but with lots of sun, while the other is warmer with richer soil providing generous mid-palate fruit. Half is macerated on the skins for six to seven months to attain a silky, layered texture, and ageing is solely in neutral oak. This is fresh, youthful and packed with luscious summer berries. The tannins are sumptuous while the acidity remains bright and palate cleansing. Vivacious and absolutely moreish.
Rose hip tea and red cherry scents, a dash of spice. Crisp and light to taste, almost transparent, red cherry juice, touch of cola. Crunchy, bright vibrant and succulent with fresh feel and good drinkability.
