The aromas and flavours of plums, smoked meat, raw meat, cloves, nutmeg and berries are sumptuous. Full body, round and polished tannins and a flavorful finish. Yet reserved and focused at the finish.

Not a sledgehammer style, this Barossa Shiraz is made for drinking! Soft, slurpy and textured it is balanced with good acidity, which refreshes the palate and makes you go back for a second/third glass. It is matured for 15 months in old French oak hogsheads sur lie to allow the fruit to fully express itself.
Soft on the oak and extraction so you can slam it down fast. Barossa Shiraz for Solo Men. This is a drink! Mainlines the soft, pillowy generosity of warm climate fruit with a brightness and general sense of slurpy, sweet but dry finishing fruit character. Pepper over black and red berries, light jammy touch but that is sorted out by a light smudge of tannin and brisk acidity. Batten down the hatches.
